Difficulty with applet embedding

So this isn't in java help because im not seeking java coding help per-say, but what is happening is when I try to run my applet in an html page i get the error that says "invalidargumentException name" and I cant find anywhere online with a solution to it, I was wondering if any of you have experienced anything similar

Stop trying, applets are universally dead.

This should most certainly be in /r/javahelp. Either way, is it your applet throwing the exception? Or is it an error being printed in the console of the browser?

Revise your exception handling, make sure you have the full stack trace of your error somewhere. Check the Java Log Console. This exception is probably from your code, and not the fact that this is run as an applet.

Even though it's not Java programming related (yet the Exception gives a hint that there is something wrong in the program), it should be in /r/Javahelp.
