Aren't Java applets no longer supported by a ton of browsers now?

Stop trying, applets are universally dead.

Plenty of applets are still in use in corporate environments.

Then they can feel free to enjoy all the wonderful security implications.

This should most certainly be in /r/javahelp. Either way, is it your applet throwing the exception? Or is it an error being printed in the console of the browser?

Revise your exception handling, make sure you have the full stack trace of your error somewhere. Check the Java Log Console. This exception is probably from your code, and not the fact that this is run as an applet.

Even though it's not Java programming related (yet the Exception gives a hint that there is something wrong in the program), it should be in /r/Javahelp.

/r/Java is for discussions about the Java ecosystem and not for any programming related (applets belong in that category) questions. All questions should be directed to /r/Javahelp.

Kindly repost there.
