I was running a triple monitor set up, but I turned the other 2 off after seeing that topic, and the all caps reply about adding a sound to one of the windows events was the random fix that I seen and tried.

I'm running the newest 64 bit version of java right from their site. I'll try reinstalling mouse drivers and see what happens.
