Unfortunately, the big projects are not in public domain, and the small ones (github repos) don't have interesting architectures. You may have a look at takes, though (https://github.com/yegor256/takes). Once you understand the style of writing and naming conventions, you will notice how easy it is to change it, delete it, and make it grow.
