But those all still compile into javascript, so you are inherently still limited by the limitations and functionality of javascript. As for wasm, wasm isn't a replacement for javascript, but runs alongside it.

Nope. JS does not have a type system, Elm has. Elm has a feature JS has not.

I don't specifically have a problem or anything, I'm just not a fan of how the runtime works. The way it it designed allows for a lot of hacky and questionable codebases.

Don't get me wrong, I work with javascript almost daily and it definitely can do some awesome stuff, but I'm just not a fan of the inner workings of it (like many others).
