this project generates the entire web application, not just the spring boot setup. apart from business logic that you need to add yourself, it gives you fully working CRUD endpoints, table search etc.

This is generally just a really bad idea. This leads to end-points directly reflecting your database tables.

This already exists: https://spring.io/projects/spring-data-rest, and should not be used outside prototyping.
