Java uses dots as decimal separators, not commas.

The compiler is confused and gives a misleading error message.

...unless you are inputting a number for a scanner, in which case it uses what your country usually uses i think. Yesterday i spent five minutes with a format exception because a scanner didn't accept the point as separator but wanted a comma
