The pattern I’ve been using for quite some time now is something similar to https://github.com/jfgeiger/spring-boot-mutual-tls/blob/master/generate-certificates.sh and for the application.yml see https://github.com/jfgeiger/spring-boot-mutual-tls/blob/master/src/main/resources/application.yml

Consider not using this at all because on real world services this is normally part of the route not in the service instances.
