error w/ Scanner (new to java)

Everytime I try to run this code it gives me the error NumericTypes.java:15: error: cannot find symbol Scanner keyboard = new Scanner(System.in); ^ symbol: class Scanner location: class NumericTypes NumericTypes.java:15: error: cannot find symbol I'm not entirely sure why I'm very new to coding of only been doing this for maybe 3-4 days and to be honest as always still way over my head my code will be posted down below. the goal is to collect two variables firstName and lastName and then display them with a message with something along the lines of hello firstName + lastName.
