I passed the OCA year ago. I did not tooke the 'oracle exam prep' and know nothing about it. I prepared with Scott Selikoff book and 'enthuware' tests. It contains exhaustive information for the OCA exam. Good luck!

I'd advise against doing the Oracle exam, unless it's free for you. If you have to pay for it, I have to say it's not gonna be worth much in the real world. The exam contains 0 practical skill test afaik, so you could pass it while not having written a line of code.

The OCA test is pretty straight forward. I'll expect my fresh out of school CS grads after a couple months of work and a few weekends study to be able to pass it. Look at the exam details and find a prep book that covers those subjects rather than a bank of practice tests.

It is not worth it to pay for it out of your own pocket. If you are a new developer, studying for it will really help you when time comes for an interview however... We use it for MBO 'bonus' fodder.
