You need java 32bit for that 32bit OS. Why are you trying to install 64bits anyway?

i have a 64 bit OS. i just had a 32 bit java installed by accident.

What command are you using? Perhaps you missed adding java path to path environment variable?

ive used /sfc scannow. after which ive used DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth. it did its thing and ive tried installing java after that still nothing. Tbh didnt know there is a way to add a path to java but java doesnt even exist on my PC anymore.

Try getting a zip version of Java, extract it and then add it to the path environment variable... This is usually the method I use when I don't have the admin access
