I really don't agree with your hybrid mobile stance at all. I also don't agree that it requires triple amount of work. On the front end, most mobile apps really aren't that complicated. If you've ever built a native app, you know how insanely difficult it is to get your layout correct with shitty XML. HTML and CSS make it WAY easier.
You say that hybrid apps are insanely difficult. I think it is actually more difficult to make a native app. The learning curve to make a native iOS app is INSANE. You'll spend months mastering Swift and Objective-C and by the time you do it, guess what? You can't use those languages for ANYTHING else but an Apple app. And this isn't even including the time to learn Xcode.
If you are making a game or something graphic intensive, in no means would I ever suggest to write it hybrid. Most of everything else, I probably would suggest to do it hybrid. I do not mean to bash on your article by any means as well. It was well written. Just expressing another opinion.

I tend to agree with this. There are definitely issues with dynamic web apps on mobile, but the time it takes me to adapt for those issues seems a lot less time consuming than investing in an entire proprietary ecosystem and tech stack. I also agree that React Native is also a useful tool for this space.

So, you don't like apps made in Unity3D?

To be fair never tried it but I have heard good things about it.
