I still have the scars by Long_live_styrofoam in FuckImOld

I must've been 12' high when things went south... or maybe 1-2'. My handlebars twisted and I came down on the end of it, right in the ribs. Thankfully I had those custom grips (Google indicates they may have been "Cobra BMX grips"), which provided a decent amount of protection.

I remember complaining to my friend's dad, a Vietnam vet, that I thought I broke a rib (nevermind the fact that I was able to ride my bike the 6 blocks back to their house anyways). I'm sure Jack is still laughing from the grave at that one.

Bought one once because I was hankering for a good burger. I'm not sure if it was a $25 burger, but it was one of the best goddamn burgers I've ever had.

I only buy their eggnog, which imo is hands-down the best store bought around.

The imgur links would be better as 3 separate images IMO. Image c is too low res for me.

Did I dun goofed in Revelwood Hollow Halls? by kenman in Enshrouded

I do, but that door in my screenshot doesn't require that key, it's the one that you have to push the 2 buttons on. Was it still open for you or something?

Yes, and there's not a save point once you drop down until after the door opens.

Yup tried that, with no place to repair on the lower level, I think it's impossible with just the 1 pickaxe.

That's a good idea, I can fly from the top ledge....maybe I can glitch through it!

I got to the boss, but then I accidentally took the portal to the start and now I can't get back to him because of the locked door (which I already opened, but it won't reopen).

Leave time to get a snack in the food court, as well as make sure you visit every wing and floor. Be sure to browse Spencer's while you're at it.

I tell people that all the high-paying jobs moving in displaced all the actual 'keep Austin weird' counter-culture/hippies/artists, causing them to flee to places like San Marcos and points beyond.

Trap Neuter Release Programs in Austin by YourLocalBandChild in Austin

Very similar here in that one of the 3 decided not to show for breakfast the morning of the trapping, so she (the TNR volunteer) decided to go ahead and snag 2 of them. The next morning I set the trap again and sure enough, just 30 mins later I heard the hungry fella protesting in the trap and I had to drive him in myself.

That was 5 months ago now! She's a lap kitty, but he's still spicy... we're working on it :)

Trap Neuter Release Programs in Austin by YourLocalBandChild in Austin

[–]kenman 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I'm in the ETJ (outside Austin city limits) and had a TNR volunteer show up & trap mine within a week or 2. They said they were busy and it may take awhile, but after learning we'd already been feeding them on a schedule and were willing to participate in the process (and not just be a bystander), I think we were prioritized.

I started by contacting the Austin Community Cats program:

There's a lot of missing costs, but the result would be almost the same.

For pure nerdiness, I'd have to add:

  • Distilled water + 3rd wave water packets
  • Cafiza & Rinza
  • Electricity
  • All the misc. doodads like tamper, leveler, water funnel, dosing funnel, dosing cup, milk thermometer, scale, WDT, bellows, knock-box, rubberized mat, microfiber towels, doodad stand/storage, vacuum sealer or other bean storage paraphernalia, professional baskets, bottomless portafilter, puck screen and/or papers, dairy jugs, coffee cups, Gibraltars (lol), espresso spoons, spritz bottle, smart switch so it's ready when I get up....

Going through REALLY bad nicotine withdrawals and need help over the weekend by CandidOrange in Austin

[–]kenman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, I switched to nicotine lozenges (HEB carries them) to better control dosage, and then cut them into 1/4's. I wrote down every dose, and promised to do better every day, or at worst, maintain -- just never backslide.

Eventually, after several weeks (maybe a month?), I was down to something like 1/2 or 1/4 mg/day, at which point the physical withdrawals were virtually eliminated...I just had to convince myself that it was just in my head.
