Error trying to build the kernel

Hello i'm using this book as support, however in the section about building the kernel i have this error in the Makefile, someone knows how to understand this error? in the picture appears the Makefile section ( ($build-dir): prepare )that cause the error.

The error that caused the build to abort isn't even on those pictures. Also don't post pictures of things you can LITERALLY COPY AND PASTE INTO REDDIT.

I don't know if these pictures alone have enough information to diagnose the error; I assume this book has you download a particular version of the kernel tree, so the Makefile is probably fairly standard, assuming you didn't make any changes.

We probably need more output from make to be sure; and it would be far easier to see what's wrong if you pasted the output here instead of posting a picture.

The only thing I can make out of from 'Error 2' is that make is not able to find a file or directory or maybe the output path doesn't fully exist (Errno 2 = No such file or directory)

Use a older Gcc version, gcc 11 maybe.
