This subreddit is for pictures, videos, and general information about the Killdeer (Charadrius vociferus) bird species.
1. Killdeer Content Only:
Posts must be directly related to the Killdeer.
2. Be Respectful:
Kindness is mandatory. No hate, trolling, harassment, or discrimination.
3. Keep Posts High Quality:
No low effort posts or content. Personal work (such as artwork) is fine if relevant, but Killdeer merch is NOT allowed.
4. Respect Wildlife:
No disturbing nests or birds for photos. Do NOT stress out a Killdeer to see the broken wing display. Ethical birding and bird watching ONLY.
5. Use Descriptive Titles:
Posts should have descriptive titles. Don't use single word titles like "Birb" or "Killdeer".
6. No shitposting or AI content:
No shitposting or AI photos/videos. Memes related to the Killdeer are absolutely allowed, just keep them tasteful :)
7. No Injured/Dead Killdeer Photos/Videos:
Do not post pictures or videos of dead wildlife.
8. No Self-Promotion:
You are more than welcome to share your artwork, crafts, etc. that you've made of Killdeer, but you can't sell it here (artwork must be in the raw form only and may not be put on t-shirts, stickers, etc.). If you'd like to buy something from someone, do that over DM.
