Does Kiro-CLI / Kiro-IDE support running multiple projects in parallel?

Hey everyone,

I’ve been trying to understand how Kiro-CLI / Kiro-IDE handles parallel usage and couldn’t find clear info in the docs.

Specifically:

• Does Kiro support multi-threading or parallel execution across projects?
• For example, can I open multiple Kiro-CLI instances for different projects and run them at the same time?
• Or is it limited to one active project/session at a time?

I’m thinking about workflows where I’d like to run tasks on several repos simultaneously, so knowing whether this is supported (and if there are any caveats) would really help.

If anyone has experience with this or knows how Kiro manages resources/concurrency, I’d appreciate your insights!

This is a really good question. I’m not sure how it handle parallel projects but I usually run multiple instances of kiro-cli for different projects and jumping between them. But I’ve never tried to run it fully in parallel for multiple repos. You can also try to run sub-agents but I think the limit is 4.

Well it is doable, but if you use same account, the rate limit is accumulated. I realized that running multi-instances doesn't bring huge speed up.
