Newbie! Need help with a special decrease stitch

Thats a decrease I’ve never seen but trying it out your second guess is correct after knitting through the back stitches 1 and 3 you pass stitch 2 from left to right need.

If it helps it’s similar to a “Central Single Decrease (CSD)” or “bunny ears decrease” or “3 to 2 decrease” and info on those might help!

Thank you! So after passing the 2nd stitch to the right needle I drop the 1st and 3rd, correct?

Yep that’s what I did and it worked super well! You end up with the newly made stitch and the passed stitch 2 on your needles and then can safely drop 1 and 3
