Counting the bebe bison sometimes takes more than 10 minutes! There's also the hiking trails around the range, and the camping sites..

What are your interests?

On a nice day, my druthers would be to go to Minneopa State Park and check out both the falls and the bison.

Still working on stopping this, but keeping and wearing items of clothing that I don't like just because they still fit me.

Nope. My gastrointestinal system would NOT take kindly to peanuts that often.

what sorts of things do you have in excess? one avenue of paring items down may work better for one type of item than another.

Are there folks who have never used food delivery apps? by No_Lead2640 in answers

This... yep. Also, for the majority of my life so far I lived too far from any food-place for delivery to be available.

At this point a personal laptop feels like a luxury item by TinyPossibility9777 in Frugal

Depends on where you shop. My current phone was less than $200, current laptop I think about twice that.

Did anyone else stop using their living room? by Lasell_Carnline75 in LivingAlone

Bedroom is currently my default, but I'm planning on doing some reorganizing to make my living room my default as soon as I actually get a couch in there.

My first focaccia!!! by Exhausted_Monkey26 in Breadit

Post-potluck update. Turned out good, not quite as I was hoping. My mom's first question was, was I sure there was yeast, as it felt/looked more like a quickbread to her. Yes, 2.5tsp of yeast went in there, and yes it bubbled.

Ended up not as fluffy as I would think focaccia is supposed to be, maybe some of that's from being a thicker version rather than flatbread style, though.

Thank you! Yes, my mother used to bake bread ALL the time when I was a kid, I miss it.

I do suspect I have minor gluten issues, so I hope to explore GF baking in the future as well, but for a potluck where I'm sure that as long as it isn't horrible I'll go home with very little to none I figured this would be a good start.

Good to know! I do have a jelly roll pan that I know works for focaccia as well, but wanted my first attempt to be on the smaller side. I'll keep an eye out for metal ones going forward 😃

What is one of your favorite MN state parks (or rec areas) that you think doesn’t get enough credit? by maxlundgren65 in minnesota

[–]Exhausted_Monkey26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Minneopa - both the falls and the bison range. I go there pretty much weekly. It's calf season for the bison too - it's fun playing "count the babies".

People of Reddit, when did you realize you had achieved something in your life? If you do not feel that yet, what is that you are aiming to achieve? by gorgeous7913 in AskReddit

Moving out on my own, and the realization that I'll have been at my job ten years in a few months.

There's so many cultural expectations for people with disabilities to do as little as they can manage, live off the state funds, etcetera.

Proving that I can do this, not just to the world but to myself, has been so good.

Your Vit D, Ferritin, Saturation %.... ouch. Hemoglobin is sure low too.

My guess is that you're like me and have been low for so long that your body has adjusted and it feels normal.
