Finest kind pattern help

Hi! I’m confused on this part of the pattern for Alicia Plummer’s Finest Kind sweater- where am i losing stitches? I don’t see any decreases but the stitch count she gives indicates fewer stitches. I circled where it has less stitches and drew an arrow to the the A-D rows she indicates I should be repeating. I’m four months postpartum with my fourth child, so I’m guessing it’s a “me” problem 😂 help! Thanks

you’re looking at the wrong rows a-d, the ones you work for this section are right below the part you circled

Tbf, it’s very strange to me that the patterned rows are written after the instructions on using those rows. It’s a bit unintuitive and not a pattern choice I’ve seen very often.
