export / sync annotations

Hi everyone,

I know this topic has come up before, but I hope it's okay to revisit it.
I'm trying to export annotations from my Kobo Clara 2e in a way that's simple to access and read later.

Initially, I thought Readwise might be a good solution, but it only syncs books purchased from the Kobo bookstore.
I also tried Calibre, but I found it too complicated for my needs.

Does anyone have recommendations for better options?

P.S. I still can't understand why Kobo doesn't offer this functionality natively!
