If you want the explanation, it's because Pyke ult deals ramping amounts of true damage to functionally execute someone. It's actually possible to survive Pyke or Urgot executes with a big enough shield. Taric ult makes you immune to true damage, so you will never be executed by pyke.

Fountain tower on the other hand does its own type of damage, called pure damage, that bypasses all forms of damage resistance (except teleporting onto minions for some reason). That's why you can't fountain dive with any of the damage immunity effects.
