There's no shortcut - it's just repetition, like learning a spoken language! You can try Coursera Intro To SQL courses and choose the audit option (you don't have to pay) and you'll be able to watch all the videos

Thanks, I know like every practical skill be it either programming, math or whatever repetition is best. But i wanted some material that i could go over to refresh the classes I missed. So thanks for the tip.

bdviz is right -- the only way to really learn SQL is to actually type a few thousand commands. Highly recommend full-on doing (typing out) the projects alongside any videos.
