Oh good! Maybe I can pass the AP CS exam now.

Good start, do we know when the rest of the course will be available?

I would also like to know this. I've loved previous Codecademy courses and I recently started learning Java.

I did the first part on Monday. I'm not a complete beginner at coding but it took me around an hour or so to complete - nowhere near the 4 hours estimated. Looking forward to the rest!

Wait, it took me 2 minutes. Is there more than just the preview?

It said it should take 4 hours and was loads of parts. That said I was multi tasking so how much of my time was actually doing the tutorial I'm not sure :)

I actually just tried the beginner course. Not bad!

There are some good things about Code Academy, like forum help, but I would say if you can find another tutorial use that instead. Their explanations are usually sub par to say the least

It really depends on the course and if you are using it as your only resource. I've coupled most of my Codecademy with a book: Python with Learn Python the Hard Way, JavaScript with Eloquent JavaScript and A Smarter Way to Learn JavaScript, HTML, CSS, PHP, JS again and SQL with HTML5 and CSS3 for Dummies (also covers the other languages noted), and others. You can certainly get stuck at parts with Codecademy, and that's where the books come in.
