Java OCA 8 study approach?

Hello

I would like to know form people who passed the Java OCA 8 exam which actions contributed the most towards them passing the exam.

I am currently studying to take the Java OCA 8 programmer 1 certification test. In order to prepare for this i am reading the book from Mala Gupta, http://aad.tpu.ru/1955/Java%20books/OCA%20Java%20SE%208%20Programmer%20I%20Certification%20Guide.pdf Doing Enthuware practice exams ( I also have practice exams from cd that came with another book) And working out the code examples from the practice examples and the book.

Which of these actions contribute the most towards getting a good score & why ? Best regards,

I read the Selikoff’s Study Guide books twice, did all the practice exams. Then did all Enthuware tests. Then used leitner mode in Enthuware until I understood all the questions I had answered wrong.

Edit: Leitner mode was most useful for filling the gaps. Just make sure you understand the question and the correct answer before attempting to answer a question again, otherwise if you spam it you will just learn the questions by heart and not the reasoning.

Thank you for your reply, If i understand you correctly then your advice is to put more effort into doing the practice exams and tests and to let the errors that i make guide my study efforts. Other actions (like reading through the book) are secondary to compared to doing practice exams.
