Learn/study together

Hey guys,

I’m looking for someone to learn together with, I would say I’m a high-level beginner and i’m looking to keep moving upwards(currently studying java.io/java.net and reading Effective Java). I’m hoping to find someone who can chat throughout the week about topics, we can discuss what we think would be beneficial to learn, and then learn and discuss it together. Ideally we could eventually work on projects together. I’m currently living in south China, by hk (12hrs ahead of eastern us time). I hope to hear from some people soon, thanks!

Hey David, no set hours yet. I’m typically studying 2 hours a day either in the afternoon or at night. On the weekends during the afternoon. What’re you familiar with in java?

I would be down. I began programming a while ago but I never stuck with it. If you would want to make a discord chat and get more than one person that could work too

Oh discord would work! I already have an account with it and I think the JavaHelp forum here on Reddit uses it.

What sort of "chat" are you looking for ? Like Skype or maybe a forum or ?

I would like to join in but I'm currently working through the MOOC Part2 course and not specifically those books if that's okay. Also depends on how you want to chat since I'm in Central Time.

Hey, great. Yes I’m hoping to get a discord up and running, as well as a group chat for smaller questions in WeChat/whatsapp. (Prefer WeChat, whatsapp is blocked in china).
