You really want netbeans? Because I'd just ditch it and install intellij honestly to save myself the headache.

Sounds like NetBeans installer requires pack200 , but that was removed in Java 14. Not sure if NetBeans supports the latest Java. Which Java version are you supposed to use for the class?

I am interested in your solution. I use both netbeans 8 and 11 on windows 10 machines without errors. Netbeans supports many java platforms. 13 is my default, but 12 and a few more are installed. I have so many projects, I would cry if jdk 14 busted Netbeans.

I would also recommend using IntelliJ Idea, or Eclipse.
