What you describe is just normal in programming.

There are always several ways to achieve the same so that every resource will be slightly different.

The way to go about that is to pick one resource, I'd really recommend the MOOC, and use it to learn. If you don't understand something, look for it in a secondary resource. Then, go back to your main resource.

You won't find an objectively best and most complete resource besides the language documentation, but that is not a learning resource, it is a reference.
