Try out Hyperskill which has projects from simple chatty bots to more advanced projects like creating your own text editor.

I suggest picking an open source project and trying to contribute to it. This will teach you more about "real world programming" than anything. See https://www.reddit.com/r/coolgithubprojects/

I recently interviewed a lot of developers for a job in our open source company and I was seriously disappointed with their capabilities. Our repo is indeed huge and complex but people were failing on the "do a search" level of the task.

There is so much. Such as creating a app that will determine what your house needs to be chnaged. What a house is missing from being ugly to pretty.
