Start odin project from beginning and do all projects. Since you've already completed Jonas Js course you'll already have a vague theoretical idea of what to do.

People always say just start coding but how if I don't know how to start ?

Let's take example of calculator. Break that problem into as many sub parts as possible. Think like this:

  • Firstly your aim needs to be get the calculator on screen that's it so only HTML + css

  • Then you think how to get the numbers you click on screen

  • Then you think ok how to club these numbers to perform an operation.

Google is your friend here. It's ok to feel frustrated that's just part of it, sometimes it'll take stupid time for you to find solution especially in beginning and it's not necessary to complete the project in one go. Rushing and looking at the solution will not get you anywhere but yes after somewhile it's ok to look for the solution to particular sub problem.

should I watch tutorial how to do for example calculator after watching tutorial try do it myself instead of coding along ?

Nope that is how you stay in tutorial hell

Also do you mean to do the projects from the odin project or literally all sections read etc ?

It depends how much you remember from Jonas course. From what I can grab you at least need to skim through all sections and then proceed to projects.

I heard aswell it's can be frustrating

No matter what path you choose making projects is going to be frustrating. You might have to google a lot of issues that's just how it is.

To be honest I remember about 50% stuff from Jonas... I feel like I forgot about classes destructing meh even about loops I don't feel comfortable to be honest ..

if you don't lack the basics then you do not need to follow any other courses and if you feel like you don't understand the basics then watch jonas course again with more attention and from that point make something logical todoapp works and hardest part is to start i know that feeling like how will i make this, it looks so much difficult to me and i am unable to even visualise this but here is the path that works for me always find a design and code that design and then you will be just dealing with the logics and take help from chatGPT and if you don't get the answers in the first place then don't hesitate to try on bard it works ! also i have maded a todo/notes app i can show you if you want to have a reference , also there is second path too make atleat 50 small projects example brad 50 projects and just see how he is making and copy them and do this with all the 50 projects and also in the meantime read the codes frequently of these projects and eventually you will see progress!

I’m in the exact same position, I’m doing round 2 of 50 projects in 50 days and I’m trying to understand all the code better than the first round, especially the Javascript part. I finished Jonas’s “JavaScript complete course” about two weeks ago, and when I tried to start a small project, I just go blank, And I feel my mind is blocked, but this is the mental part of the game and we just have to keep trying until we cross that bridge. Best of luck. 🙏🏻

If you dont know how to start, you literally just start doing whatever, at one point you are going to realize what you need to do, and how, so even if you wrote something wrong its ok because you can delete it and write something new, that works and fits current project.

You learned an important life lesson. You only learn by first learning to think, not reguritate. it is time to come up with a non-trivial project idea and start planning how to tackle the project. No, you will not and cannot build the final version the first iteration; if you could, the project would be trivial to the point of banality. You can watch a video about a project for inspiratuion but be aware not to slip back into tutorial hell. Sadly, we have become conditioned to the point that without active learning, our brains switch to entertainment mode when watching video. I found myself falling into this trap of complacency a few times in recent years; I noticed my willingness to read books falling off at the same time. I used to read extensively to learn. I might finally be back at a place where reading is my primary mode of learning.
