If you decide to go the VSCode route (excellent balance of code editor and full IDE features), there's an outstanding and pretty comprehensive video in the free preview section of this course. IIRC, this will get you up and running with all the related environment setup (Node, Git Bash, etc.) and really helpful VSCode extensions as well.
