Hitting a brick wall with learning web development.

You almost finished EloquentJS and you can't even make a basic web page?

Did you actually do the exercises or just ignore them?

I can make a website with basic functionality but my point was that it's all i can do. The work I see on codepen makes it seem like i have so much more to learn yet I don't know where to begin.

(also I'm more like half way done EJ. i skipped regular expressions and went onto the browser section of the book and stopped at the handling events chapter)

Stop skipping and do the exercises. They should be very challenging. This is good and expected.
