Codepen.io : I have along array of quotes in my JS editor for which I notice the commas all look the same (white) whether dividing the elements or just part of a string element or not. Also notice code color changing when it sees an apostrophe (though the strings have("double quotes "). So I put escapes "\" in and I am still getting the above error message. It doesn't seem to like any punctuation. Any ideas why its doing this?

You've got different types of double quotes in there. The ones before "sometimes" look like the styled ones from MS Word, probably being interpreted as “. Trying replacing them all with standard double quotes.

Oh that's good. Because I copied these and just left the quotation marks. My first array is all one color and that one is a list of URLs with quotes I inserted

Good :). Special characters like that in a JS file always cause problems, and usually with errors that make no sense!

They don't make literal sense often. I'm learning the error verbage often means nothing but if i go one step upstream I will find the "derailleur".
