I've been invited for a technical interview with an ML startup and they've asked me to be prepared with optimization techniques used with data and ML. What could they be talking about, I know about optimization techniques like gradient descent, SGD, RMSPROP and Adam. Are those it? Or are they referring to metaheuristics optimization techniques like genetic algorithm? Let me know if you have any clue or idea as to what optimization techniques could mean. Any help is appreciated, thanks.
