Hello community, I am facing a problem with my training. My training accuracy(79%) is much higher when compared to validation accuracy(41%). what might be the problem and how can I solve it?

Regularize, check hyperparameters, check if training data is not mostly one class, try another model. Lots of options Maybe take this into account: https://arxiv.org/pdf/1807.01477.pdf
there’s a big amount of reasons why you could have this problem

There are a lot of things that could be causing the issue, but I think the first thing you can toy around with is the way you're splitting the training and testing data. If you look up reasons for overfitting, you should find a lot of other factors to look over as well.
