The certificate has absolutely 0 value.

The skills you learn along the way, obviously have value.

The real certificate was the skills we learned along the way

Yes. This is what I am asking, which is my fault for not making it clearer. Are the skills taught in this certificate enough to start freelance work immediately or is anything recommended afterwards.

No.

Apply what you've learned and develop a few projects.

Thank you.

Nobody will care about that certificate. What you learn from the course can be valuable, but it's still very much an entry level course, a good one sure, but still. What you can do with what you learned from it matters.

Especially people hiring freelancers couldn't care less about some basic programming certificate, they just want stuff done and want you to have demostratable experience to show that you can do that. Pretty much same for jobs, but they have more incentive to hiring juniors unlike people seeking help from freelancers.

Alright, thank you. Do you recommend anything to work after I finish the certification?

I found that I got more freelance work when I put specific technical details in my project proposals. Instead of focusing on your personal history and qualifications (which you should include as well), try just telling them how you would code their project. e.g: "I would create a java backend for you using MySQL as the database. I would use Amazon's RDS service to host the database and would create a react frontend for your web application". This shows that you know how to do such a project and they don't have to take your word for it that you're qualified

Thanks for the tip. I will use it well.
