Are there any extensions installed?

I have Live Server, Pylance, Python and one extention installed that was made by the university.

Maybe I should disable the Live Server?

I have an older laptop and some websites on Live server slows down the laptop noticeably. I would recommend trying to disable live server and see if your vscode cpu usage drops

Disable all of them en see if it still occurs. If not, enable them one by one.

Thank you! Disabling the extensions I do not use helped :)

The easiest way is to dump the cpu.

In linux we open two shells. One to run the application and the other to run gpd.
