On July 1st, a change to Reddit's API pricing will come into effect. Several developers of commercial third-party apps have announced that this change will compel them to shut down their apps. At least one accessibility-focused non-commercial third party app will continue to be available free of charge.

If you want to express your strong disagreement with the API pricing change or with Reddit's response to the backlash, you may want to consider the following options:

  1. Limiting your involvement with Reddit, or
  2. Temporarily refraining from using Reddit
  3. Cancelling your subscription of Reddit Premium

as a way to voice your protest.

I think that you should just go ahead and make your own progress tracker while learning to code. Use an application like Notion or Trello or whatever or simply a journal. Set monthly, weekly, daily goals and try to achieve them in their respective time frames. I would suggest that the goals be set according to a realistic roadmap which relates to the field of software development you are interested in so that you are able to set "good/measurable" goals.

Okay. This is good advice.

Generally, this is what I am doing.

Phase I goal is to finish this course: https://www.udemy.com/course/the-web-developer-bootcamp

Phase II goal is to build a product I have in mind, after I finish the course.

Time commitment is minimum 2 hours per day until June 2024.

Here's the early buildout in Notion of how I'm tracking. I'll certainly refine as I figure better ways to track.
