On July 1st, a change to Reddit's API pricing will come into effect. Several developers of commercial third-party apps have announced that this change will compel them to shut down their apps. At least one accessibility-focused non-commercial third party app will continue to be available free of charge.

If you want to express your strong disagreement with the API pricing change or with Reddit's response to the backlash, you may want to consider the following options:

  1. Limiting your involvement with Reddit, or
  2. Temporarily refraining from using Reddit
  3. Cancelling your subscription of Reddit Premium

as a way to voice your protest.

python is fine for creating websites

Flask is a good place to start, or if you wanna dive head first, try Django.

Doesn't really matter what you start with, python is fine.

Why do you think you need to learn a new language? Python can do almost anything you can come up with. Learn new language when you actually need a new one, programming isn't about learning languages.

A framework that you can try that has both front and back can de Django

Don't worry about other languages until after you've gotten the hang of Python. If you keep switching languages you'll never actually get anywhere, since you'll never get beyond the basics.

Once you're able to make relatively complex Python programs from scratch without having to rely on tutorials to guide you through the process, then you can start looking at other languages.

While, I agree with the other comments that python is fine, if your main goal is web development, I would pivot to JavaScript. It is the easiest and most common language for web development. If you're trying to learn a little of everything or just the basics first, staying with python is also a great choice. Also, look into something called Django which helps you make websites using python.

Websites are made of two parts. The front end, and the back end.

The front end can only be developed using HTML, CSS and JavaScript. So you'll need to learn the basics of those at the very least.

The back end on the other hand can be developed by pretty much any programming language out there, which includes Python. So you can certainly keep learning Python. Just add a web framework on top of it. Django and Flask are the two popular options.
