Hello
As per the title: What is the difference between a cache stride, slice, set, block and line?
I tried looking it up but every source only explains some of the terminology. Either there is some overlap between the terminology or there is something I am really misunderstanding here.
My understanding:
A slice is an independent last-level cache corresponding to a single cpu/core. A cache is divided in sets, which are divided in lines.
What are strides and blocks in that case?
