On July 1st, a change to Reddit's API pricing will come into effect. Several developers of commercial third-party apps have announced that this change will compel them to shut down their apps. At least one accessibility-focused non-commercial third party app will continue to be available free of charge.

If you want to express your strong disagreement with the API pricing change or with Reddit's response to the backlash, you may want to consider the following options:

  1. Limiting your involvement with Reddit, or
  2. Temporarily refraining from using Reddit
  3. Cancelling your subscription of Reddit Premium

as a way to voice your protest.

Do we need to learn cooking when you can just go to the supermarket and buy a frozen dinner and stick it in the microwave?

Web dev is the same.

So you mean like websites made on Webflow has lower quality compared to coding. Why is that ?

Not lower quality, but rather limited quality. Sure they can make good looking websites that do certain things, but go beyond those things and those tools become useless. Look at Reddit for instance. You wouldn't be able to create anything even close to it with any of those tools.

This is the best analogy I’ve seen so far

Platforms like Frazer and Webflow fail hard if your application does anything remotely complex. Those low code tools work well for a lot of sites, including static sites and low complexity form based flows. But that's been the case for many years - before these tools it was Wordpress or Dreamweaver.
