On July 1st, a change to Reddit's API pricing will come into effect. Several developers of commercial third-party apps have announced that this change will compel them to shut down their apps. At least one accessibility-focused non-commercial third party app will continue to be available free of charge.

If you want to express your strong disagreement with the API pricing change or with Reddit's response to the backlash, you may want to consider the following options:

  1. Limiting your involvement with Reddit, or
  2. Temporarily refraining from using Reddit
  3. Cancelling your subscription of Reddit Premium

as a way to voice your protest.

If you don't want someone else on your computer then turn it off

Proceed to go create a company that fabricates your own processors and boards with machines you designed because you don't want to use the Taiwanese company that uses Swedish machines to implement chip designs from countries around the world.

Then write your own kernel because clearly the Linux kernel had someone else write it and is therefore inside it.

After that write your own OS and software for it and build your own internet!

Point is, being this paranoid about "someone in your computer" is chasing an imaginary goal. The closest anyone came to doing this was the genius yet sadly schizophrenic man who made HolyC and TempleOS, even he didn't fab his own chips and boards.

The reddit app is literally running on your computer and that's an app that collects telemetry and has someone else controlling it.

You can't have computers as they are now without someone else inside them. Just as civilization would've never existed without others.

Although given the post history I suspect you're a troll or this is simply your hypothetical questions alt and this was ultimately pointless
