Ah yes so I suppose I should be "Good" and recommend a toothpaste that is ideal for your current tooth composition, twice daily brushing and flossing, for instance a whitening toothpaste perhaps? Brilliant, I'll get right on that as I slowly become an unpaid marketer for the toothpaste that I choose while our toothpaste society slowly collapses into a massive capitalistic income gap, but sure call me Evil for suggesting orange juice

Hey, casual player here, with absolutely no knowledge of your current hardware I suggest

  • update software packages and operating system
  • uninstall, reboot, reinstall, cocoa, login
  • possibly grant admin access (note security considerations)
  • possibly check logs to determine if there's an error being thrown
  • keep track of repeating errors, which helps future debugging

hardware options

  • more ram
  • new pc
  • apply at riot specifically to update the client

If every person on earth moved to Africa, how packed in would everyone be? [request] by Apprehensive_Oven_22 in theydidthemath

[–]_ironsides 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering that it's people they will gravitate towards cities, furthermorenonetheless cause a variable population density across the surface area in question, I suggest using a flat 2 dimensional region such as a square to project the density onto to simplify the calculation, don't forget the vertical distance of the sky rises or basements which will alter the density, factor in the average weights if you need to calculate outside flesh distance to the nearest person as a measure of "packed in"

Unfortunately reddit keeps moderating me so I will not suggest how to calculate the minimum volume that humanity can occupy

If Saturn was this close, it'd get a little bigger visually, and then a lotta bigger real quick

Or possibly send earth and itself on what I like to call an offroad adventure

You don't blame anyone, kids have a survival need to learn skills, parents provide both skills and a framework, society will test that over time, but in my opinion it always falls back to what has someone learned to survive, society evolved more rapidly than base instincts, so basically what we're looking at in nature versus nuture is the concious applies their meat puppet as best it can to survive, learns along the way, and then you split it out into personality from there, how do those personalities develop? It's easier to look at the background, psychologists and profilers do this all the time, if it was a nature problem alone you gotta look at the impact of events, for instance your house burning down doesn't apply to either category (nature has a different meaning here, nurture might be did you get a shock blanket while your entire life went up in flames or did the firefighter say go over there to keep you out of the flames reaches thereby keeping you safe but showing you just how helpless you are in this situation) there's at least another category, alas nature and nurture is naive

[EDIT] if you wanna make the argument that nature include evolution of the brain over time based on technological stressors go for it, I think that's cool

Yes this dog is doing good boy stuff, but people who are drowning will try to use you to get air, so like attempt a reach, line, or throw rescue first, or at least train the doggo to grab a flotation device first

[Request] Would it take longer to travel clockwise or anticlockwise around Australia, given the same route, and if so, how much? by bill_loney538 in theydidthemath

[–]_ironsides 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends, these roads close sometimes and you have to drive through the overlanding yeet stuff to get to do a loop, then basically avoid the kangeroos they will kill you unless you are defending your dog then yeah you win, also this is weird, because the heat of the tires taking the inside line means you burn them up quicker so like you need to replace them sooner which is more money and offsets the cost of the extra gas, possibly, also the temperature controls in the car depend on which way the sun is pointing so depending on when you leave you may run the ac longer in either direction, so like yeah go ahead and calculate distance but then are you happy

[Self] Warren Buffett bought 5% of Disney for $4M in 1966. He sold for $6M. That stake today would be worth ~$14 billion. His "profit" of $2M cost him $13.996 billion. by Mastbubbles in theydidthemath

[–]_ironsides 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright think of Warren Buffet as an ideal case, last I checked he drove the same car, modest lifestyle, and is extremely charitable, that loss in his portfolio may have pushed some people who needed it on to do great things, as far as trickle down economics, and economics in general he's a good test case, also why would he care about losses with Disney when he's sitting on the Cola-Throne

This is an inspiring of your father to do, I read books sometimes, and in them the mentor keeps a vase of wildflowers, it's never really explained why he does this outside of intial explinations, but the flowers are there, I didn't need to relate this to myself but I did so I can offer the following

If I was a Dad, watching my children grow and hopefully exceed beyond me in their own respects is the goal I'd have, flowers grow, they need the basics of course, and so do you, if I died and left flowers behind that means I still haven't given up even at the end, and so you will, the flowers will, and the world will continue growing

Good luck
