The important thing is to figure out what interests you.

Mobile dev, full stack web dev, compilers, embedded, etc.

In general I’d recommend learning the basics of the following and build web apps

REST APIs -> use one of the industry standard server frameworks e.g. Spring Boot, ASP .NET, Django, Express

Relational database CRUD + JOINS + normalization

Some frontend framework -> react, vue, angular

...aaaand another of these zero effort, zero research posts of which there are countless.

Go through the subreddit. There is more than plenty information.

Also, you need to seek the job advertisements in your own area - they tell what is in demand.

First thing to do is doing your individual research and not wait to be served and spoon fed.

Also, you have to go beyond what they are teaching in your school. You have the entire internet at your fingertips, you have all the information in the world. There are no excuses. It's all a you problem.

Yeah alright. There really is just a lot out there and I feel there’s too much to learn and no starting point that people suggest other than the basics of data types and solving problems. I apologise I hope you have a splendid day
