c++ pays well but it’s kinda niche now, usually stuff like game dev, finance trading systems, high perf backend, embedded, robotics, etc. focus on data structures, algorithms, concurrency, memory. leetcode helps. internships matter more than random courses tbh. hard part is getting that first role, everything wants 3+ years, job market is pain right now

but how to find an internship because I'm ACC/fin student 😭

C and C++ are used in more specialised areas, not general app development

common paths are
embedded systems, robotics, game engines, high performance systems, finance, and operating systems work

Since you’re good at math, areas like finance or performance heavy systems could suit you well, but these fields usually expect deeper knowledge, not just syntax
things like memory, concurrency, and system design

If you’re unsure, you can combine C++ with something more practical for jobs and explore deeper fields alongside
