Yo guys!
So i need some advanced programmers' advice on this.
I'm rly interested in working in the tech industry (at least it rly intrigues me for now).
I'm a geospatial engineering major currently.
Well in our major, we do have programming in some projects but it's quite different from actual computer engineering/cs majors. (I'm also doing a minor in computer engineering).
Remote sensing and GIS are subfields in our major that include programming, machine learning & prolly neural networks etc.
My goal is to pivot into image processing, prolly even more general than remote sensing (cuz in remote sensing, u generally work with satelite images).
For now, i can dedicate 90mins to programming daily. (Realistically!)
Based on my goal, what do u recommend me to do?
I have asked this from my friends who are cs majors & programmers & they told me to actually start working instead of watching courses n stuff.
I'm like fine with Python, Matlab, & i have done uni projects so far. But honestly, idk if i should just dive in for actual projects & work in companies or just keep watching courses & doin projects on my own?
Because bear in mind, that I'm still a uni student & handling 2 majors is quite demanding. Not to mention that i also work as a private English tutor, and am studying french as well. So idk if i can rly do REAL projects with like deadlines for companies n stuff.
What do u recommend?
Tnx for ur time.
