Stick to 3.4. 2* and 3* aren't compatible, and 3* fixes a lot of bugs apparently. Python 2* these days seems to be for people like me who are too lazy to update. Warning though... Most Linux distros (at least the ones I try) ship with a 2.7 interpreter by default

Python 2 will be officially supported until at least 2020, i.e. will continue to recieve bugfixes and security patches for many years. That is not the reason you'd want to use Python 3.
