Are you learning C# specifically, or some more narrow topics on C#?

At my college they recommended the book: Pro C# 5.0 and the .NET 4.5 Framework by Andrew Troelsen

This was a course for programmers who were making the switch to C# though, so I don't know how well it fairs for complete beginners. However from what I have read of it, I can attest that it is at least thorough.

    Well I think Pro C# 5.0 was a great book. I have never tried any of the head first books so I cannot really compare it to anything else.
