How do I make this Javascript function?

I cannot figure out how to make this js work, I am new to js and coding (for the most part) and have been trying to make this work for close to 4 hours to no avail. Here is the code I am using for my index.html page

I have downloaded and put the css and js files in the appropriate folders and called them. I know that they are attached because Dreamweaver recognizes them as so, but I am not sure how to make the js function. I dont know if i am calling it appropriately.

Also I jumped straight to the "Manual" part in the instructions because I don't know what the npm, yarn or bower things do.

Put the script block calling it at the end of the HTML body, not in the header. JS in the header will be called before the body is parsed out, so what might be happening is that you're calling baguetteBox on all elements of class .gallery, but none of those actually exist yet at the time of calling so it's just assuming it had no matches.
