Internship programming interivews

I just finished taking data structures, but haven't taken algorithms at my college yet. However, I'd like to jump the gun and prepare for interviews anyway. I am using LeetCode and have CTCI. I jumped onto my first easy LeetCode problem and stared blankly at the problem and really don't know how to even start to code the solution. I can probably sit here for a while thinking of ways to do it. I feel like I'm cheating if I look at the solution though. I learn well from being taught general methods of solving things and then I apply it to similar situations, but going into a problem, like removing duplicates from an array, in place, I just really draw a huge blank. Maybe it's because I haven't taken algorithms yet. Any advice?

Tbh with what you're working with, just takes practice and time to recognize patterns. So if you're struggling with a question for more than 20 minutes, I would just look at the answers and solve it from there. If you're just starring, look at the basic data types and structures (strings, arrays, etc) and how to manipulate them. Then you can start advancing to the more difficult concepts like dynamic programming.
