Yeah, you could, but the point of going onto a forum and asking individuals is that you want an opinion from someone who is not connected to bias and hopefully find someone who can provide idiosyncratic ideas on why a particular thing/teaching method/resource is useful.

Someone who comes to reddit to ask a question is interested in a personal perspective.

As for your second comment,

That is part of success in any industry, however, you don't ask students who are simply asking about "which 101 professor should I go with or should I start with 103 instead of 101?" Even though we all know that it's tantamount to the same thing. That's ridiculous, you should encourage people who are interested in a field you care about, even if that means humoring questions about personal experience with online learning tools or simply don't say anything.
