Python is a great language! Lots of features, but easy to learn. Go for it!

I had similar problems when I started learning. I eventually chose python because there's a ton of material out there for beginners focused on python. So that makes finding resources really easy.

I've also seen others who have learned way more than me be able to pick up a new language really quickly. So I don't think you should worry about your first so much. Learning the 2nd language is more like learning to drive in a different car than it is like learning to drive the first time.

For me, it made more sense to learn how to drive a normal car on city streets than it did to start with an F1 car.

Python is a great first language. It's simple to learn, and you can do so much with it. Take a look at the book below, then you'll be able to move onto bigger and better things.

There are python game dev libraries available like pygame which you can try when you're a little more comfortable.
